The Eyes That See

I look around me
And I try to see
Everything that is happening around me
With eyes that have seen
What you have seen
But, you may not see what I see
Nor do I see what you see
It is in the eyes that see

Like a child full of innocence
Full of happiness and glee
Looking at the world through pure eyes
That is the way I want to see
Untouched by the hardness of adulthood
Unharmed by the chaos surrounding me
As clear as that child's vision
I want my eyes to be
It is in the eyes that see

I observe many things
Some that are near
Like a child shedding tears
Some that are far
Like the night sky full of stars
But, there are times when I don't want to see
For the pain it brings is not worth it for me
It is in the eyes that see

Some things I see through my imagination
Some things I see through my worldly vision
No matter how I see
You seem to misunderstand me
It is not you that I am looking at
It is your essence that I see
Through looking at your being
I am looking at me
It is in the eyes that see

Is it wrong for me to analyze
Everything that is surrounding me
Should I turn a blind eye and flee
As if I am afraid of what is haunting me
The gleam in my eyes you may read wrong
I don't mean any harm
I apologize if my glance is too strong
It is just one of my many eccentricities
Wide eyes twinkling with the sights surrounding me
It is in the eyes that see

Why do you then accuse me
For seeing the things that I see
For my seeing brings no harm
Like the little ones' eyes that see
Accusing the eyes that see really hurts me
It pains me that you should even think of me
As a person I never was and never will be
It is in the eyes that see

The eyes that see
May be something else in you than it is in me
It is still the same sights that we see
Though your perception may be different from mine
Please don't blame me
For not seeing the way you see
For you may not see what I see
Nor do I see what you see
It is all in our perceptions
It is in the eyes that see

Sing To Me

I am in misery I want you to sing to me In your songs I find ecstasy Your voice I hear in my dreams Like the morning birds Singing in harmony You give me bliss With your melodies Your every motion beckons me When your lips move, I can't breathe Its your presence that I always feel Like the moon, your face glows on me I'll give you everything you seek Just don't stop singing to me I will die of the pain I'll feel If you ever let go of me Your words to me are heavenly With you lies my destiny Tell me this is not a dream Promise me you'll never leave Don't talk to me about reality I find peace in fantasy Where the world is staged aesthetically Where we all live blissfully Where there's no death, no misery Where we all live peacefully Where there is no insanity Where the world is void of calamities Tell me you'll always sing for me So that I can find that land of dreams No more living in fantasy From dreams we'll create reality Give me that opportunity ...

Time

Years have passed away And I await the coming days The years were only a few days ago The next days will only be a few hours away I remember those hours of yesterday When I was young and carefree Sometimes I have to stop and wonder Where my next hours will take me People have come and gone Leaving memories to last a lifetime some have left a hole in my heart Others have left a light that will forever shine If time stood still, what would I see? If I could go back, what would I do differently? If I could change the future, where would I be? In this existence that we call life, these thoughts lead to insanity. What is insanity? Is it being a prisoner from the grasps of normality? Is it an escape from reality? Maybe it's escapism from leading a life of mediocrity No matter how I try to justify life, time will keep passing by Every minute Man enters this world, piercing us with His birth cry His life will be less than a speck of sand, considering the vastnes...

Divinity in Motion

Grass waving with the summer breeze Trees dancing with the wind Ocean waves hitting the rocks You wouldn't tell them to stop because Its divinity in motion A kiss from your mother Even one from your lover You would not want to miss Because its bliss Its divinity in motion The way a woman's hips sway as she walks The way her lips move as she talks The way she nurses her child Its all with a divine composure and smile Its divinity in motion Babies being born through a couple's love Growing up with the help of The One above Facing hurdles and breaking barriers Its the same qualities we all share Its divinity in motion When children grow Their aspirations show That their potentials are great The goals they set Its divinity in motion When the fighters fight When the singers sing When the fire lights When the bells ring Its divinity in motion Dancers dancing to the beat Soldiers marching through the street Swimmers swinging their feet When they all meet Its divinity in motion Whe...
