Daydreaming

I drift off, but I’m not asleep
In the world of dreams, diving deep
I meditate on your voice, a heavenly sound
That unearthly melody makes my world spin around

I am sitting on a beach, with water so blue
Really I'm staring deep into your eyes, the blue is you
Like the glow of the brightest gems, your eyes shine
Stricken by your beauty, I'm in suspended time

If your eyes are the intermediary
Then let things be the way they are
For then I know that I can reach that dream land whenever I want to
Because you are never too far

My wandering spirit finds peace in that land where there is no pain or sorrow
There I can become one with The Unknown Hand
I know that it can only be He, for only He can produce such unreal reality
Beauty that mesmerizes Man and makes him forget all his misery

Even death will be a sweet sorrow
For it's your company I want to borrow
Maybe in the real world, I won't find
But, in the next, The One won't bind

He won't bind my hands to the ways of the norm
Free I will be to explore and roam
Things that are taboo in the world of Man
In that land, I will find a life so grand

Daydreaming my days away
I will live in eternal bliss
I will feel the ecstasy that one finds
In their lover's first kiss

If staring at your eyes take me to that dream land
I want to stay there forever
I don't care if I become hypnotized by your voice
I never want to recover

Unfortunately, the real world doesn't stop spinning
It still goes round and round
I finally realize I'm daydreaming
But, I'm still spellbound
